The Hindu KHUS region is a mountain system of Central Asia, extending 400 miles southwest from the Pamir Knot. These mountains roughly form the boundary between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Hindu Kush were called the Caucasus Indicus by the ancient Greeks. These isolated regions have existed almost unchanged for hundreds of years, and their inhabitants subsist on the yield of their livestock and crops.
